First few minutes of each act are blacked out; three very short blackouts during TWAI, OSD, and ALAYM.There is a head on the far right that was worked around, but it does block Morrible's speech during DG, and about half of Boq's piece of MOTWH; good mix of wides, mediums, and closeups throughout the show. There's very little washout overall, even in most of the wides; excellent sound throughout the show. Commentary: By popular demand - Willemijn as Elphaba! She is just fantastic, great vocals and acting. Well filmed, from the orchestra and mostly unobstructed and very steady. Odd moments of wandering and spotlight washout in a few scenes, but nothing too bad. Great close-ups and wide-shots for choreography. Complete show but no curtain call. 2 DVDs

Only full capture of Jennifer as Elphaba! She is such a wonderful Elphaba and I think she is better than Lisa. Her acting was amazing and she was always in character, this is most noticeable in the flying section of Defying Gravity! Annaleigh is hilarious as usual and during Popular she accidentally snorts while laughing and it surprises Jennifer so she laughs! Really good video, steady filming and the audio is great and shot close-up beautiful.

Eden Espinosa, Carol Kane and Adam Wylie's final performance; good video, but a little shaky. No obstructions however, clear picture with lots of zooms, and only minor wash-out now and then. 16:9 widescreen. One brief cover-up during "One Short Day".Eden was emotional through much of the show, and the little gestures she and Megan shared during "Defying Gravity" and "For Good" were heartbreaking. Filmed from the left mezzanine with a mix of wide shots, medium shots, and close-ups; excellent sound throughout, and the color/clarity is great overall; some spotlight washout in the wide shots. There's one head in the way, but he only blocks a small portion of the very front of the stage, and there's an arm that briefly blocks the left side of the stage once or twice, but neither obstruction blocks the action. This was scheduled to be Teal's second to last performance, but she left after the train station scene due to illness and did not perform for her last night, so this was the last time she went on during the LA run. 2 DVDs

Great capture of one of the few times Vicki went on in LA. First couple minutes of each act are blacked out, and there are three short blackouts during Room Assignments that last about 20-30 seconds each, and one blackout during Fiyero's entrance for about a minute and a half, and one that lasts 30 seconds during the ballgown part of Popular; couple of heads at the bottom of the screen and some washout; good mix of wides, mediums, and closeups throughout the show. 2 DVDs

There's one head in the middle of the stage that can be seen the wide shots. There's one blackout toward the end of WITF and it continues through the beginning of the first classroom scene. The video is also a bit shaky here and there, especially during the darker scenes. Some spotlight washout, especially in the wides. The sound is excellent. 2 DVDs

Alexa’s first! Short blackouts during TWAI and the end of WITF / beginning of he first classroom scene, but neither lasts more than a minute; railing can be seen at the bottom of the screen in wideshots and also blocks the very bottom front of the stage so you can't see some things like the Grimmerie during DG, Nessa's shoes during WWOTE, and the trap door in Kiamo Ko. Good sound and picture. 2 DVDs

A nice capture of the first performance of the Los Angles stop. Mamie is a fantastic Elphaba; she has a powerful voice and hits every note. Katie is her usual brilliant self with perfect pitch and great comedic timing, even taking her shoes off during Popular. There are a few scattered blackouts: the first minute of No One Mourns the Wicked, the first 3 minutes of Room Assignments, the first minute of History Lessons, 1 minute during Fiyero's entrance, 2 minutes during Dancing Through Life, and the first 2 minutes of act two. Other than that, the show is complete and beautifully captured with no obstruction and only a little washout in high contrast scenes. Awesome close ups, some shakiness and camera wandering though, and spotlight washout on the wider shots. Zoe Jarrett's final show (she's brilliant), and the final matinee in Singapore.
